Contacting a coach from your Wishlist
You can start a conversation with a program yourself from your Wishlist. Your note goes to the coach who recruits your events, from you, through Streamline Athletes. To decide which programs deserve a note, read How to Build a Target List and Email Coaches.
Before you start
- Your profile must be at 100%. See Getting your profile to 100%.
- Your college entry year must be current. If you see "Update your college entry year to send.", select Update entry year and fix it in About Me.
- For NCAA Division I and Division II programs, contacting opens on June 15 after your grade 10 year.
Sending an email to a coach
- Open your Wishlist and select Contact Coach on the program's card.
- Finish the sentence "I'm interested in [program] because…" in a couple of full sentences. Be specific about why this program.
- Pick up to three verified PRs to lead with.
- Add anything else you'd like the coach to know. This is optional.
- Leave "If the coach doesn't answer, send these follow-ups in my name" ticked if you want us to follow up for you. Follow-ups stop the moment the coach responds.
- Select Send.
The coach gets your note, your best performances, a short summary about you and a link to your profile. Coaches only get your email and phone number if they select Interested. If they do, we email you both together. Reply All to keep the conversation going.
How many coaches you can contact
Essentials includes one conversation you start. Plus and Pro don't limit how many coaches you contact in total, but limit how many conversations you have open at once. When you reach your limit, the button changes to Manage Plan. See streamlineathletes.com/pricing for current plans.
Programs contacting you never count toward this limit.
