How coach requests work
When a program wants to recruit you, the request appears under Requests in Opportunities. We also email you so you don't miss it.
Responding to a request
- Open Opportunities and find the program under Requests.
- Select Open Message.
- Answer "Are you interested in [program]?" with Yes or No.
Yes moves the program to In Conversation, and we introduce you to the coach by email. No moves it to Archived, and the coach is told. You can't change your answer for 24 hours.
Your contact details stay private until you select Yes.
Replying to the coach
Reply to the introduction email and keep the coach on the email. Use Reply All so the coach gets your answer. From there it's a normal email conversation between you and the coach. How to Follow Up With College Coaches has a reply template and what to ask next.
Open Message is greyed out
If the program shows PENDING VERIFICATION, the performance they're recruiting you for is still being verified. See Why a program shows Pending Verification.
Requests don't use up your plan
Programs can contact you an unlimited number of times on every plan. Requests that start with a coach never count toward the coaches you contact yourself.
