Why a coach hasn't replied
College coaches get a lot of email, and they're busiest during the competitive season and around signing periods. A quiet inbox isn't always a no.
How long we wait
A note you send from your Wishlist stays open for:
- 60 days if your college entry year is two or more years away
- 45 days if it's one year away
- 21 days if you're starting college sooner than that
If you left follow-ups turned on, we send them in your name during that window, once after eight days and second follow-up after 16 days. Follow-ups stop the moment the coach responds.
What you can do
- Keep improving your profile. New verified performances and an up-to-date academic record give coaches a reason to look again.
- Check the coach's response rate. Plus and Pro show how likely each program's coach is to respond, so you can focus where replies are likely.
- Look at programs where you meet the standards. Coaches respond most to athletes who already fit what they recruit for.
- Keep your Recruiting Status on Looking, so programs can keep finding you.

A coach replied by email but not in the app
Once you've been introduced, the conversation continues over email. Check the inbox for your preferred email, including spam, and Reply All to keep the coach on the thread.
